For anyone that has thought about reaching out to HR for support, don't waste your breath or effort. Today was the second time they have had me in tears. All they do is back the company and the micromanager coaches we have. I was told that all of Humana at Home is metrics driven. When I explained the working conditions, exessively long hours with no lunches or well-being time, it fell on deaf ears. They don't care about any of us, not MF, not our coaches, not HR. All they care about is that fat bonus check in their bank accounts they are getting. This company is the epitome of hell and I surely hope karma comes around to bite them in the a$$

HR, not he
HE will always side with leadership. There was an incident that was reported where a lead was having an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate with plenty of evidence proving the subordinate was given unfair advantages in their career to have that person fired but instead HR dug up "questionable" activities from other people on the team, which weren't even inappropriate, and made everyone feel as if they had done something wrong. The lead was not fired and everyone on the team was instead given s-xual harassment training. They protect their leaders.
Correction:
Role of Human Resource Management. The human resources management team suggests to the management team how to strategically manage people as business resources. This includes managing recruiting and hiring employees, coordinating employee benefits and suggesting employee training and development strategies.
The role of HR is to protect the company, not the employee
I quit too! It's disgusting already how they operate. Sleeze bags!
I've called HR as well and was given the same answers both times. That coaches can set whatever goal they want. There have been several days because of meetings I don't take a lunch because if I do I will not hit the metric. Work smarter not harder they say but that's not completely realistic. It sounds like it's time to lawyer up or file a grievance. The entire department can attest that the working conditions are only about hitting a number, to look good on paper, to make money. There is no integrity in what this department does for its members. If only national news really knew what was going on in Humana
To the person who made the comment about drinking a cup of coffee instead of kool aid, I don't know what your role is, but believe me, I drink plenty of coffee. Point blank: all of this company are crooks. They don't care about you, me or anyone else. They praise the almighty dollar
COACHES: We were told to reach out to our coaches for help if we are constantly working long hours to meet metrics. That is a bunch of bull! As if a coach will blame anyone else but us. Their jobs are on the line too!
You realize that HR gets a paycheck from the company right? What ever made you think HR is on anyone's "side" but the company that hired them?
HR's true job is to minimize employee blowback, disagreements, etc, not stand up to the company for employees.
Time to stop drinking the Kool Aid and pour a cup of coffee methinks.
You are exactly right !!! It's really sad - I recently quit my Hcmrn job because I refused to subject myself to this company's abuse.
