Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

"Avaya Vantage" All glass, innovative, game changing IP Phone, LOL Read this to understand how Avaya is fooling customers and employees.

Avaya is proudly announcing GA of its product Avaya Vantage in May 2017. They think it as a milestone. LOL! Few years before Avaya launched "Flare" with similar excitement. Flare was also "all glass" ip phone. What happened? They failed badly. No customer showed interest and the product quality was also not upto the mark. What Avaya did? They discontinued development on Avaya Flare. Now they repackaged it using Android and again they are relaunching it with great excitement. They are calling it innovation, but Alas!!! Avaya's competitors are already selling All glass IP phones from last several years. They are very stable with significant market share. Most of the luxury hotels are already using these phones with customised apps on it.

You R&D guys develop such kind of Copy Cat products, you call it innovation and we, the poor people in sales are expected to sell it. So it's not sales but R&D responsible for downfall of Avaya.

As a customer or developer I would prefer to use Google API's on Android IP Phones rather than using Avaya Breeze client SDK on Vantage to develop customised applications.
