Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Standard Performance for the Quarter - A Pump and Dump

I see the stock is back down to $36.04 today at the time of this post. Too bad. For one brief shining moment it broke above $37.00 and gasped for air. But, today the normal pattern shows up again and it deflates. Don't worry, it will crawl back up over the next month or two.

You know you gained? Those who sold or shorted this week.

  • BK sold 13,820 shares

  • Andy Bryant sold 6,421 shares

  • Diane Bryant sold 5,217 shares,

  • Stacy Smith sold 8047 shares.

None of these sale was an "automatic".

BK sold 116,000 shares in March; Andy Bryant sold about 275,00 shares in February.

These guys are taking care of themselves. You should be too.

Don't fool yourselves into believing you are on their team. You are on your own team just like they are.

Classic retreat to the high end while volume dries up.

The gig is up.

This is how dinosaurs die.

The stock actually held up well today, with heavy support at or near $36. The numbers were really not all that great, but bumping up the full year guidance by $500m and talk of cost management was able to assuage Wall Street.

Everyone should go listen to the conf call here: https://www.intc.com/investor-relations/events-and-presentations/events-calendar/event-details/2017/Q1-2017-Intel-Corporation-Earnings-Conference/default.aspx

Listen to some of the answers they give to the questions - Bob Swan in particular has admirably learned all the buzzwords and phrases. CCG (and DCG to some extent) are relying on high ASPs to meet their guidance for the year. It's like they don't even know there is real competition breathing right down their necks, with a customer base who is literally aching for a viable second source.

INTC will trade in a tight band until next earnings, swinging only with macro market events. Wait until after ex-dividend and decide from there, folks.

Right to work laws in the US mean that a company can layoff workers for any cause and even no cause. What workers have been told up to a layoff is meaningless, only a signed contract counts. Any company layoffs are entirely up to what management thinks is needed right now.

You have no promise of employment and no right to expect one in US. Therefore, saying on this board that there will be no layoffs is baseless.

Layoff might be next year's thing, not for this year for sure!

There is no reason this stock would move to $40.00, there are too many unknowns about decisions like Mobileye, the continued erosion of PC sales, and data center slow down.

No worry, no layoff for this year. Everyone is survived 😃

Almost down 4% now. It is the time to buy! Then, we will see $40 in short time.
