Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Allstate Auto Adjuster

What will happen with Auto Adjusters when they start the QuickFoto? Will they be laid off, be offered early retirement, kept for total loss claims or what? Anyone know??? Something is happening, because the daily assignments of adjusters have been cut in half.

IS IT TRUE THAT 800 WERE LAID OFF JUNE 1ST WHEN DRIVE-INS CLOSED NATIONWIDE?

SENIORITY WAS NOT CONSIDERED AT ALL, THEY WERE TOLD ON A MANDATORY CONFERENCE CALL THAT IF YOU ARE ON THIS CONFERENCE CALL, YOU ARE LAID OFF AND YOUR SEVERANCE PACKAGE IS IN THE MAIL/ OR EMAIL. HOW IS THAT EVEN LEGAL TO NOT DO LAYOFFS BY SENIORITY?

CLASS ACTION LAWYERS PLEASE TAKE THIS CASE!

Adjusters and claim workers at Allstate less than 10 years are losing jobs. Doesn't matter if they had a better track record than those there longer. They are gone soon. This affects thousands.

The Quick Foto option is just Allstate's way of paying the customer less then the repairs cost and after depositing the money directly in the consumers account hoping they spend it and not fix there car. There is no ethical interest for the customer unless they want a quick buck and no repairs. The estimates are horrible and that's what they are told to do, not what they feel is right but what saves the company the most money. All the lay offs, and the customer does all the work with no drop on premiums, who wins? Allstate shareholders that's who!

I don't know what market you are in but in Atlanta our workload has drastically increased since QFC has rolled out. Most field employees are barely hanging on. The entire MCO is on edge. Many employees are leaving. The others are just waiting to see if they get severance.

Drive ins are now closed country wide and quickphoto is the preferred settlement method. Most adjusters will be let go unless they are willing to move to Charlotte or Texas. They will need to keep a few around to deal with the 2/3rds of the damage that quickphoto doesn't pay for.

It's two weeks pay for every FULL year worked. If you work there 2 years and 10 months, you get 4 weeks. They will screw you every way they can while telling you how sorry they are and it's not you, it's a business decision.

I heard this is in full swing in Tennessee and other areas. Have friends who are wondering if they will be phased out and lose their jobs.
