You truly don't understand. This was an iconic AMERICAN company. There was no need to fire AMERICAN workers other than greed. Honestly, the off-shore employees are generally NOT as competent and North American employees. It isn't just a matter of work ethic, but also creativity, problem-solving, language skills. There was no need to destroy this company and hire sub-standard, cheap labor. The company revenues for the past 10 years have been in the billions. It is greed that caused this, not the necessity to save a dying company. The AMERICAN employees, and AMERICAN companies that had contracts with HPE were "screwed over". There is no need to "pull together", we can leave and get better jobs. I did a couple of months ago, and got a 40% pay hike. I'm on the list to be laid off and can't wait! Just don't expect us to "pull together". Get your creative juices going, get to work (and believe me, i did my 18 hour days to build this company and to serve clients) and build your own companies.
