To all the dimwits here politicizing issues and dwelling on how the H1s are under paid think about this:

H1s have minimums so your company cannot pay less that the minimums. The minimums are designed to be market based and have been increasing in the Obama years too.

Your god emperor prez and the "based" types are dolts who are not based on reality or perhaps, just fell our of a parallel universe because do you really know what this H1 restriction is doing? This H1 restriction is sending the jobs to India, China, Malaysia, Poland, Philippines, Mexico.

The goal for positions is 80% offshore 20% onshore or low cost. So calm down people in India and do good work to help support those of us that are left in the US.....for now. Thus far Trump has mentioned working to ensure that H1B Visa holders are fairly compensated. Meaning they really have to bring the person from another location because they can't find a US person. Right now it is done and your countrymen are paid a lot less than us. And he is talking about a way to bring manufacturing jobs back (while all of his companies products are manufactured in other countries) As soon as one of his rich friends tells him that will hurt their business he will drop it (as long as they supported him). He is also looking to lower corporate taxes - which the company execs will pocket the savings and continue to offshore our jobs simply to lower their costs and continue to line their pockets. I'm sure the reductions you are seeing are mostly redundancy teams which should have known it was coming. Our jobs are still coming your way. We get to work everyday knowing that if there isn't contract language keeping our jobs in the US they will be off shored. That is why so many smart people are leaving.
