Hundreds of jobs appear on company websites that are not real jobs.

Lots of tech companies have jobs on their website that they have no intention to (re)fill, for these have long been filled by someone. Yet they post and fool the Labor Department that they are sponsoring for Permanent Residency because "no qualified local candidates" were found.
These job postings are very mis-leading to the job seekers. As a job seeker I spent countless hours posting my resumes for jobs that I was qualified for, only to get the automated message that, "Sorry at this point we are proceeding with other candidates". I know these mails are an eye wash and most of the time the company never hired anyone new but had someone already hired.
The real nuisance is the Labor Department expectation. Will be good to have a petition started to Labor Dept to change this requirement imposed on Tech.
We all know that every job has a few hundred resumes showing up. Yet Tech Companies continue to preach that "STEM candidates" are hard to find.
