Thread regarding Anthem Inc. layoffs

IT updates

Mason OH being added as a new core location but there is not any word on what the competency will be. Guess Tom had to realize that most of the talent at Anthem would rather leave than be forced to relocate.

The glories of Transformation that the exec's are patting themselves on the back about, they have decided Anthem needs more hands. Will this mean fewer layoffs and more new hires? No way, this is Anthem! They plan to contract all the new work. Get ready for sloppy projects with spec's misinterpreted as the work is done offshore.

The best solution to contend with this uncertainty and executive gamesmanship is to move on: These guys have already proven, especially Tom Miller, that what they say is probably never going to square with what they actually do in the long run. They are simply going to tell staff members whatever they think is expedient at the moment.

And I did exactly that: moved on. And I don't regret it one bit. I hate having to work for a management team that I cannot trust and that is content to leave staff members in constant limbo when it comes to their future at Anthem.

Life is much better now that I am not living under the dark, Anthem "work-place strategy" cloud.
