NCIPQzg-1rrr. at one point the AP was taking over the personnel job along with the ap stuff. the bottom line is no one knows a thing. rumors and maybe this or that just is bs. Sam's and Walmart are 2 separate companies, so just because one does something doesn't mean the other will. it would be a shame to let people go the last quarter before Christmas tho.

Yeah. Our Walmarts shelves are never in stock. It's super frustrating. If I can't find what I'm looking for, I leave the whole basket and go somewhere else. The whole point of Walmart is a one stop shop. If I have to make multi stops, I won't even start at Walmart. What's the point?

I think they will continue to cut staff all these guys think they can compete with Amazon but the thing is Walmart ain't Amazon and it never will be. If they keep cutting just for better profits the associates will either rebel or give up. But in my town this job is all we got I don't know what I am going to do if I get cut. But I have faith that the lord will see us through.

Nobody will do it I guess.

Wonder what grass roots will be like this year. I have to believe it takes a hit.

They are still looking for ways to cut expenses. The major goal is to get SG&A expenses down. Until goal is hit, layoffs will continue I think.

The latest rumor circling is that they are concerned they don't get as much out of their labor force as Amazon does. This goes for hourly and managers. Whether you're at home office or in the stores, now is not the time to be seen chatting.

My belief (not based on insider info) is that they will continue periodic cuts until the business takes a hit. I think they are cutting a little at a time to try to figure out how lean they can get.
