Home Depot may s--- too, but the last thread on here was 4 months ago. Lowe's employees post them nearly every day. That says a lot. Lowe's is out performed by the Depot every quarter, but can't catch them. So now Lowe's mistreats employees in a desperate attempt to catch HD, all because of corporate egos and greed.
Sorry Lowe's, you lose...again.
Lowe's is a greedy, greedy company that pretends to be everyone's best friend, but isn't. Just last week a employee of 24 years retired from Lowe's. He's a great guy - friendly, helpful, upbeat, you know the type. And he doesn't talk about folks, at least not from what I've heard. What did Lowe's do for him? Gave him a going away card and a cheap cake from Walmart...I'm not joking. I talked to him a bit later and he said he left specifically because of the recent changes. He was going to retire within the next 18 months but told me that the latest changes were the worst he had experienced at Lowe's and that it simply wasn't worth it to stay any longer. Lowe's is run by a bunch of greedy ingrates, plain and simply.
This guy knew his stuff, too. Not to be rude to all the managers on here, but this guy is the real reason people come to Lowe's. It's people like this that are leaving now that are putting the final nails in the coffin of Lowe's. I'm tired for working for such a tacky, cheap, greedy company parading as some sort of American icon. Go to hell Lowe's.
Lowes made a very unwise decision to let go of their long timer Asms, these people are your experienced people. Depot more than likely looks at this as it being their advantage time to push above Lowes. Like a gal at Depot said, certain positions and experience are needed, Long timer and Experienced Asms that were let go plus Dept Mgrs are important. Lowes is declining already, so it looks to be true in this what is needed saying.
Lowe's is worse because they have taken from employees almost every year. Some benefit eliminated. Some perk gone. It's really a horrible greedy company. I use them daily.
They are just as messed up as anybody
