heard the layoffs are imminent and coming for sure. what is more shocking is the number will be higher than originally projected due to the higher than expected payoff for Mayer. Don't we feel like idiots to have our pictures taken with her while she is laughing at our stolen severances... pissed off

When I got laid off there my severance equaled zero plus they provided zero job placement assistance zero support of any kind, not even moral support. Also they tried to act like it wasn't even a layoff via the sleazy stacked ratings process. When I hear employees talk about the company like it was somehow more caring than average, it makes me shake my head. They spent years and years firing off dedicated experienced middle aged staff in large cities, and replacing them with cheaper new college grads and offshore employees to save on labor costs, now is the next round where those people get fired off too. If anyone believes exec mgmt cares about the long term prospects or career development of employees on the ground, they are naive and not looking critically at real history of employee treatment.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Unless you are some pampered executive prat the severance package for the rank and file hoos is more generous than any other company in history.
