Labor skills Gap

When you hear corporations and industry talking about have a labor shortage due to skills gaps? The key question to ask is what wage are they offering to fill the position? In my experience many employers are wanting to fill positions at lower and lower wages and lower than current market wages and can't find labor for the position they are trying to fill at a specific lower price point, so they resort to bring in foreign workers or move off shore to obtain lower cost labor.

Although the reasons are obvious, the CEOs and WS can't just say they are brining in foreign workers and outsourcing because they are greedy bastards. So they give this stupid excuse. It is an insult to Americans for these leaders to say we aren't smart enough or don't have the skills. The other real tragedy is the pay / cash the executives and Wall Streeters get these days while paying workers les, eliminating pensions, cutting benefits.

HON doesn't want to have any skilled employees. What they want are slaves who work long hours for little pay and benefits.

The other side of this HR labor coin is replacing older more experienced, with higher wages with a younger lower cost employee. The objective of both labor practice approaches regarding labor is to lower labor cost. Any who has worked on HR with half a brain knows and understands these facts and are charged with controlling labor cost based on hiring practices and RIF's to acquire lower cost labor.
