Remington layoffs and Fired Managers

AAP in Remington has laid off several and Fired many (with severance) pay. Managers and leads. Our number have gone from 65,000 a day to 25- 30,00.

Hours usually till 5 pm then 4 now 3. The company fired or laid off some of the best managers and leads and kept managers around that do not care about their "team" or have felonys but are able.to stay!!

. We were once a family and they have ruined that. All a surprise to their dedicated workers to one day have a great team then nothing. I am afraid of the outcome and what's to come next.

Crazy thing is the HR person from Corp who is clueless is shackling up with one of the team members here. My local HR person told me not to do report her as she has a history of inappropriate relationships and nothing is ever done. Her partners end up getting fired or otherwise disappear and she gets promoted. How does that fit in the values?

So I work for the Salina Dc for aap, we were supposed to give Remington the twenty ought stored back at the beginning of this month but now it's been pushed back until mid July. Our outbound numbers plummeted from 120k 6ato430 or 5pm, to about 75-90k per week letting us out 4pm; they say they are limiting the amount of pieces in the store, is there a deeper reason? We don't get paid enough; people that's been here 30 yrs make what a person that's been here for 2 yrs, that's not right!?

So about 3 years ago they blamed the failure of this D.C. On the HR Director to save the butts of the executives and got rid of him. He was the only person from Corp HR who cared about team members. Replaced him with a silly woman from the stores who knew nothing and lasted a month. Then a woman from Corp who is dumber then a box of rocks but somehow is a VP but fratenizes inappropriately with other employers. Really makes you wonder!

I have been with Advance for 20 yrs. Held the Inventory Specialist position for HUB store since 2011, they walked in to our store without notice n dropped my position to PT. I have been FT since starting in 1997 n that's how they now treat their long time team members, haven't had a raise in 5 yrs. Myself n neighboring inventory Specialist have been told we are "overpaid" but we worked our way up there with many years of dedictated service.

When taken to PT, I was told by HR I would lose all my 240 hrs sick time, however, I contacted labor board and as long as I stayed employed they had to pay me for those hours. I was up to 4wks vacation n lost it, after rolling back to FT, I started accumulating both over.

Over the last 3 yrs I have watched our mgmt team let things go and areas of expectations, accountability, store appearance FAIL!!!! Breaks my heart to see these areas fail after being ran by some great TM's prior to last couple managers.

Training new,TMs is rediculous anymore, management wants to put them on cycle counts before they even learn the sales counter or learns the terms.

This company USED TO BE GREAT to work for, now i'm not sure what direction they are headed.

I'm told nothing has changed with my expectations but yet I am now required to deliver, counter coverage or whatever, whereas a few years ago I was able to focus n put my full attention to the HUB inventory Specialist duties as needed to properly take care of inventory needs and pog's as my position required. I now feel like I'm forced to neglect that important area.

With Aap for 20 years gone from our people being the best part. To the upper management not having any idea of how to treat commercial or retail customers. They are driven to please share holders. If you take care of customers the shares go up. In this case they Line there pockets and we all go down. Two kinds of people leaders and followers. Aap has always lead from the rear. They are the largest parts retailer in parts sounds like a balloon with a lot of hot air ready to bust. I am discussed with the great people we just lost. Aap should look in the mirror before rock auto and Amazon distroy all the hard working people in the field built. Upper managers who are left need to buy a pound of bologna tonight. Fry that on your grill outside your mansion and really think about those they have hurt. God is watching and waiting for a conference call at the pearly gates.

Of course, the best people are the most expensive and offer the biggest boost to OI when they are laid off. At least 0.001%!
