Where do you see layoffs coming with the merger?
No real info coming out yet of how they intend to structure the business - but there are areas of overlap.. both cant run in tandem..

Baker managers will tell the GE people they are bringing help ! Yes they will bring in their friends and run the company into the ground .
NarBnud-hvdh, probably not unless GE unloads the village idiot for a plant manager that we have.
What about the Barnsdall Oklahoma plant? It produces products unrelated to GE Oil and Gas. Will it survive the merger?

NHR layoffs came this week. My husband was just laid off from GE as well, he wasn't from NHR though.
Hydril will definitely have layoffs, and a few in NHR...As for corporate folks, I am not sure how they are not laid off. They are all useless overhead.
