Are they giving severance to people who are being laid off and not retiring? Someone told me they were getting 10k severance pay after being there for 4 years and their job was being abolished.

you can get unemployment after severance is complete. For example if you have worked 4 years and get 8 weeks you can file week 9. It follows your personal unemployment account and has nothing to do with working at Altice or Cablevision. For example, all in Conn got unemployment even though Altice had only taken over 4.5 months before from your personal account you and Cablevision paid into
Severance pay is a joke they take 47% of it in taxes. They don't want to give it to you in one lump sum, but rather pay you every 3 weeks. You can't collect unemployment either. This f-----g Company is a joke. I was once proud and happy to work for a Company who actually gave a f--k about you. Realistically you all need to be looking for another job. I don't see a future with this Company nor job security.
I've never seen anything like this. When my friend got laid off his whole company got severance is eveyone here getting severance?
Is everyone getting severance or only the big bosses?
Why would you ever consider leaving such a world class organization?
