The C womble comment lasted more than five minutes, to funny!
Wilson is a top man ha ha!
As strong as the will of the employees.... agreed to an extent.
95% of the union members are pussies and they will work even if there is a ballot for a strike. However that doesn't mean the union should stop protecting those pussies or doing the bare minimum. The pussies pay a fee. If nothing they should use the press, Corbyn in PMQ's to raise these issues.
I can put my mortgage on this statement, you ask Len Mckluskey about DXC and see if he even knows who they are.
'Unions are as strong as the will of the employees that are Union members'
Correct!
Unions are as strong as the will of the employees that are Union members.
The sad fact is the majority in "middle class professions" have been convinced that they don't need unions or that unions are evil.
PCS members did try to take action at HPE DWP Account. It fell flat because most people, the unionised and gutless members, just carried on working.
Your still not getting it, employees pay unions to stop them getting f---ed over.
Looks like I missed out on an epic thread
Bend over Wendover and let me roger you some more! If you do I'll let you keep your job, yeh right!
It's a company totally devoid of care for its employees or customers and morally bankrupt.
That has little or nothing to do with the Trades Unions, I think they do what they can, but if employees keep letting themselves be f---ed over what can the unions do!
Had union emails about RMG jobs, Vauxhall jobs... and I could go on.
Granted there is power in numbers and I get the collective bargaining concept, but that's almost like a £££ business decision, they don't pay us enough protection money so sod them? How's that behaviour any different from how DXC treat us?
Of course unions have a part to play in it,
I've had emails galore about NHS cuts and supporting NHS staff, stuff about the people working on the railways, same for teachers. When was the last time you got an email about DXC shameful cuts? When was the last time the union organised a strike? Or made some noise in public about a strike even if it was calling DXC bluff?
I had one email Dec time asking if I would agree to a strike by Unite, I replied yes as well as everyone I know, guess what - nobody replied back. How's that any different from DXC behaviour.
From an experienced investor. DXC is dead meat. It has just not reached the spoilage stage yet. What a scam it has done to all its great employees. The only ones left are the employees that back stab, brow nose, bad mouth good people who are gone, and the lazy DXC is not an example of a legitimate company. Sad to say what a black eye in the Tech community.
@2cod Agree with some of what you say, but I disagree that the aim is to dissolve the company. What's more likely is that they will try the strategy outlined in March's Investor Day presentation (try and sell more Next-Gen stuff to increase revenue whilst cutting costs to shore up operating profit). That may or may not work; if it doesn't then what's left of DXC will be picked up by one of the Indian outsourcing outfits.
The Unions can do little if the people don't Join together and unionise themselves, or care how they are treated and just continue to take the crap this awful company heaps on them.
Everyone is just trying to get through, I get that, but if all we do is look the other and let this organisation do what it wants we sort of deserve it really.
The truth is nothing will happen and they will get away with daylight robbery.
The unions don't give a hoot, they are just interested in collecting our money and selling us supposedly cheaper insurance and other products. The union is a business too.
That is a very accurate view and analysis of what's gone on in this compnany! I don't see how they get away with it. Wilson epitomises all that wrong in this company. I think in time some scandal will be revealed about the way this awful organisation has treated it's employees and customers.
I've worked for HP, HPE and now DXC and have been in redundancy pools for years. Attended a town hall meeting with this Wilson guy. Patronising doesn't even come close to how he conducted himself. The whole chucking sweets thing made more than 400 people cringe in unison. He's been brought in to basically slash all jobs in UK and Ireland... and I'm sure there are are other clones out there who are gonna do the same across all of Europe. DXC is gonna be ground into the dirt in Europe. They will attempt to keep the business running via middle eastern establishments because it will save them money i.e they pay them buttons. The company as it stands is a train wreck. This man makes my skin crawl. His persistence on how he's telling the truth gives me the creeps. He epitomises up all that is wrong with HPE, HP and now DXC. Managements complete ignorance of the potential they have. Upper management have no clue of the power of the talent which exists beneath their ivory towers. Th creation of DXC is all about getting rid of all the employees and dumping potentially lucrative contracts so that the stock/share holders can benefit from liquidation of the company. The managers such as the one indicated in this post are only interested in them selves and their cronies .It's painfully obvious that the likes of Wilson will be accepting huge retirement packages in the next few years. I've never worked in such a place where the disrespect and mistrust of management has been so high. The whole philosophy surrounding he current restructuring is almost comical in it's transparency. If you work for DXC you will not be working for them in a few years time... at least in Europe anyway.
I suggest that if you can obtain a redundancy package from them you should take is asap as they will undoubtedly change the T&Cs for legacy employees from HPE/HP to save money. DXC don't place any value on the talent they employ. Management has no regard or respect for their employees. The end game is to dissolve the company no matter who you are. The likes of this character, Wilson, will do very well financially out of the position they hold. The money is in the bank as far as they are concerned. Never trust anyone who feel the need to constantly tell you they are being honest. DXC is a train wreck waiting to happen and if you are there when it happens you're gonna be crushed.
Loved how he put up an analyst review of DXC in his comms, even went as far as saying the analyst is from the agency he trusts the most.... in the small print it read the person doing the review of Dixie has shares (stock) in the company.
You either have to be born retarded or short of a couple of screws to think that's normal.
Jacqui Ferguson you could have some respect for. Wilson? None whatsoever.
Fogive me if me if I don't understand correct... my English is not good... but if someone can throw object well then they would be a complete tosser?
Due to an outbreak of morale, humour and dissent this thread will close in five minutes!
Of course if they are very good and accurate with their throwing technique, and possibly the best among their peers, they could be described as the ultimate tosser.
So, by definition, a person who throws sweets could be accurately described as a TOSSER in a non-derogatory sense.
toss·er
ˈtôsər/
noun
1.
a person or thing that tosses something.
"a contest to find the best pancake-tosser"
I think thelayoff is a snowflake "safe space"... you are not allowed to point out your opinion regarding the characteristics of another person if it has the possibility of offending. No honest opinions allowed... unless of course you are a manager at DXC :-/
Just remember DXC is all about the fun.
There is nothing patronising about throwing sweets at employees your are patronising. At least it is honest!?
@nzz, haven't read the thread, but it probably did. Names and personal insults are not allowed on this site. Can find their rules somewhere in the footer.
I guess DXC only want to hear management's honesty and telling it how it is... not their employees.
Another Goal box ticked for him!
I wonder what rules it broke? DXC not too keen on honest opinions of employees maybe!? Too funny.
Did it break Board rules?
Yes
