I salute all the strong hard working women in the Oil and Gas industry. Especially the Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, GE, and Weatherford women.
They deserve more..!
almost all of SLB's female top level executives came through HR and have ZERO technical knowledge. GE O&G and SLB are NOT "very profitable" or profitable at all. It's not like females with technical knowledge and competency dont exist in those companies but those that rise to the top of the executive levels generally seem to come through HR which isnt usually a bastion of competency.
Current Leaders of certain HAL PSLs make women hold it all day and eliminate outdoors at night in their country of origin. Do you really think their attitudes toward women have changed in the few years since they got their work visas? That piece will have to be fixed before women will have a chance at Hal.
Women are quick learners.
Why heck Halliburton has people (men) on their Presidents Leadership Team that sound like Bobby Boucher from Waterboy ( pronounced Boo Shay).
Why is this corporation so far behind the times and its peers??
Just look at the Executive teams of GE and Schlumberger.
GE Oil & Gas has a woman in the role of President & CEO, Evaluation & Optimization. Schlumberger has a woman in the role of President of the Drilling Group and another woman in the role of VP of HR.
Both of these oil service firms are very profitable.
In addition look at the newly formed BJ Services with our own Evelyn!! I see good things on the horizon. Brilliant move by BJ.
