The layoff rumors have slowed over the past week but morale has never been lower. Employees do not care anymore thanks to the lack of confidence in leadership. Any continued talk about round 2 layoffs? I have been hearing mostly September but a few are speculating June. Haven't heard any new chatter within the last week.

GE is rapidly losing expertise, experience, and committed employees. They are underestimating the value and cost of this loss. I have never seen this level of frustration and apathy among the remaining employees. Employees are so preoccupied with job justification that they can't complete basic tasks critical to business. Read the writing on the wall. Plan ahead. Remember that your SSO is only a number to upper management that can be elimated to satisfy their bonus metric.
Power is losing money daily and managers and salaried employees are still acting like GE is a social club. Laughing and goofing off all day while pretending to care. Absolutely no value added work being accomplished. They will be in shock when the hammer falls.
My gut feeling is we will see more cuts by end of June, in Power at least. HR has been around the office a good bit lately, like they were in February.
My primary goal is to get away from GE ASAP. Resume is out. Sold my GE stock after losing confidence in leadership. No other company would survive the incompetence and continuous waste of money.
GE seems to cherish and cater to the younger and less expensive employee. With all of the VRPs and RIFs and people voluntarily jumping ship, resulting in a tremendous loss in experience, wait for the exodus of young folks when they realize that there is nobody left to guide them.
Not sure about September? That is assembly's busiest month. (Aka third quarter)
