Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has frustrated its sales people with issues over their pay ... again

Dell pays its Sales People well and if they don't perform they call it PIP . Most Dell employees get to voice their concern over raised quotas.

"Most Dell employees get to voice their concern over raised quotas."

Which then gets them put at the top of the list for the next round of layoffs and even if it doesn't it's ignored anyway. In the 6 plus years I spent @ Dell it was an extremely rare event to see anyone get quota relief for ANY reason. In those few instances it did occur it was usually because a large customer stopped buying and left a rep with a few $million hole in their bucket and then only if said rep was cozy with the next two levels of management above.

Dell used to pay sales well, that's all changing now and the compensation system was never timely or accurate as long as I was there. Quotas not rolled out until half way through a quarter or later and updates to the SCORE tracking system happening irregularly and usually inaccurately. Unless you personally tracked every deal that happened in your patch, including opps run by the ISRs and TSRs, you basically had to take accountings word that your attainment was what they were paying you for, the system was that bad for as long as I had to deal with it and with the addition of EMC I can't see it having magically gotten better overnight.
