I was laid off on May 31st. My manager said June 2nd was my last day. Really? you tell me 2 days before that I am off. Was part of IBM GBS consulting which is struggling to make profits. IBM is not able to sign client deals and thats a direct impact on our utilization. I lost so many months because IBM wasn't signing any deals ! I was laid off in spite of excellent project assessments and being billable and not on bench. Yes, I was not on bench when I was laid off. I was billable. Sadly, IBM GBS has been reduced to a company where employees are doing crappy work just to be utilized.

this happens at IBM all the time...
Feel your pain - I am working for a large firm in Georgia that just walked two employees out the door with zero notice at all. Employers always want YOU to give 2 weeks notice, but THEY can can your job in 5 minutes - which is unfair. I am a day away from a new position with pending questions so treat any new job the same way - enjoy but do NOT trust your employer EVER.
