Know your rights. You are not required by law to sign anything when being let go. Signing forms just helps protect them and helps them from paying out your unemployment. They may tell you things like sign this form to get your last check. You might be admitting guilt in the fine print of what you are signing and getting unemployment will be very difficult to get. They can't hold your last check by law anyway. Why do you think they are demoting to a CSA 5 for 12 months and moving them to another department in hopes of making you mad and uncomfortable enough to quit on your own? You can't get unemployment in most cases if you quit. If you stick it out for 12 months you have a better chance of getting it. Know your rights and best of luck.

They should tell you you don't have to sign anything. But beware they will try to tell unemployment that you refused to sign their agreement, which in terms is insubordination. But it's your right not to sign especially if Hr tells you you don't have to sign it (and you had no intentions) and changes their mind. Keep in mind once an EEOC charge or a lawyer has contacted Lowes on your behalf, they won't show up to the unemployment hearing. As anything they say can be used against them. In my state all UE (mostly) are denied.
Use all of your sick time if you're CSA 5 chances of them firing you for this is slim to none because they'll have to pay out in the end!
Sounds like illegal coercion if they try to force you to sign to get your paycheck.
