@1mcx. Well said. Don't forget Fatso couldn't make it to the (single) president of QCT.

Big layoffs a coming, yeah 👍
Hope you are right, dude! Intel still carries way too much headcount to make their numbers look good. Lots of employees simply existing, taking a paycheck and not contributing.
What has Fatso acheived or proved in almost 2 years ? Execution improvement without a product to show for is a joke ! Massive impact to morale due to importing of Qualcomm employees at significantly higher grades & pay, causing severe disparities in Bangalore & California! Snacks and travel cuts just to accomodate Fatso' appetite & private jets ! . ! What a terrible tragedy for Intel! The board is responsible for inflicting this horror on Intel by its poor choice of President. All Fatso wants is BK's job by Xmas (or next ....).
Excellent analysis @dwa, hope you don't mind me bumping it to a separate thread.
Withou some details, it is too specific to be true.
@dwa Boom. Exactly. Add it up folks.
SSG is getting some changes along with OTC. Coming in a week or so. Those leaders are slow and old. Late on everything. It's not all reorg. There will be reduction.
My group has been given fair warning by our manager. He's said everything except update your resume. It's implied though.
Yep. True.
Post when something actually happens. Yawn.
No, it will be 7-6 @12:03:05
Stop the nonsense rumors. No layoffs in iCDG.
What seems to be certain is that intel is gonna have really difficult times next 2-3 years. They have never had any success from anything else than x86, and probably never will. And I dont think many will miss intel when they get an alternative.
I can't predict when the next layoff will be, but as an engineer do some common sense analysis.
Billions spent on new intiaves with years before real revenue or any profits. Crazy high capital expenditures for 10 and 7nm and both programs late and if 10 is any indication big cost issues.
Larger core x86 business is flat at best and management has failed to find a real credible strategy leveraging any Intel strength for growth for the future.
Look around at the design houses or the semiconductor houses and you see strength and focus from well managed and executing companies. Intel competitors these days aren't weak and poorly funded and managed like the AMD of old, nor is there a monopoly printing money faster and faster like two decades ago.
At Intel you see dissarray and diluted and half executed programs. We gave up on tablets, mobile, security and much more, and we will also most certainly not have stomach and fold up on the other billion dollar. Look to the stupidity of ACT as the first of the many silly things and most certainly more ACTs are coming as Intel has no choice given its situation and need to pacify the stockholders.
The date maybe July and maybe not, but the good old days are gown and more layoffs ACTs are certain. So the question are you ready as it isn't a matter of if, but only when 😉
This board has no credibility. Lot of the news here seems to be baseless.
This noard lacks credibility - thanks to pretenders
It was suppoosed to be this week - love the fake news.
At least 15% reduction based in project and focal
