In a nutshell. My store has been steadily going downhill. Moral is at an all time low. Not enough people working ever. "Service managers" are a joke. Etc. etc. I planned on making a career at Lowes and I was working hard to get it. I'm a sales specialist currently, looking for another job. Thanks for wasting years of my life Lowes!

This is one of the only organizations where the HR rep. Is part of management. When I worked for my last "big" organization, HR reps. Acted as liaisons between workers and management. They solved problems for both sides and inturpreted policy to serve both employee's and management.
I had an 18 year Lowe's "carreer " only to be fired before retirement! they documented dug up policies so I could not receive unemployment and left me with nothing!
It's the same everywhere . I have been with this company for 15 years , and moral is at an all time low. Gimme an L , gimme an O ,Gimme aW , Gimme an E .. G

It's one thing to talk about it and get upset , but what can we do about it but worry . Our people we voted in do not care . There bought and paid for by these companies
our store moral is at an all time low as well on top of having the highest comps in our region,we also have the lowest payroll.
My store is also going downhill. It's a good ol boys club. Managers don't care about us. No way to go HR either, he twist things around to make it your fault. I regret coming to this store. So many good people let go of just quit. I used to love working for Lowes, but not anymore. Managers tell you one thing and change it so fast you get in trouble for not doing it right. Lowes used to be like my family, but not any more. You can't go to anyone about personal issues that should be between you and HR, but next thing you know it's all over the store. And trying to get a pay raise so you can live..forget it. No one is happy at my store, everyone walks on egg shells wondering if they are next on the chopping block. And no one cares, not even corporate.
The writing was on the wall probably a decade ago as it relates to "making a career at Lowe's"
Time to move on. The thing is, there are no options out there.
