Managers are not your friends

I was called in to the store managers office today about calling too many code 3's. I was shown "evidence" as a part of this meeting. This was print outs from sync-up meetings that I had and supposedly had with management. There were several entries that I do not recall occurring and one where the ASM completely fabricated the meeting.

Best ASM I ever worked for was tough but fair. He walked the store constantly and broke up groups of employees standing around talking. If you were having a bad day or dealing with a difficult customer he had your back. Even though I did not always agree with him, I greatly respect him. Can't say the same for the current group of a-- kissers we have as management at my store.

Retired HD employee, I have seen these meeting for department supervisor with the management once a week. Nothing but play time, they should be spending more time on the floor with customers and covering there departments. How many times have you went into these big box stores and you can't find any help. Stop making everyone supervisor s, go's to there head. Let the managers get there butts on the floor and run the store. Just sayin.

It's amazing that management has the time and resources to track how WELL Lowes customers are being serviced, and then use that tool to generate negative occurrences for the purpose of disciplining employees.

This tactic is just one of many used by incompetent lower tier managers to set the stage for staff reductions.

Remember, the company is in a massive reduction of forces effort, and they will do anything possible to avoid paying unemployment benefits. These store clowns teach each other these tactics, and the company can claim ignorance of their actions.

I have experienced a similar situation, and was saved by having evidence exposing several store managers and a district manager's untruthful statements. These people are unethical and morally bankrupt.

One consolation we can get from this smoke and mirror program to artificially manipulate financial performance is that when it fails, and virtually every campaigns like this do, the architects of the project will be exposed.
