Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Is GM and Ford hiring?

Well what do you think of GM transitioning finance and IT folks from HPE and DXC. Seems like the old GM is at it again. Some days i think GM needs to hire the brains from failed company's in order to make themselves successful again> Its a proven fact GM cannot think for themselves. All that education and knowledge and the depend on The government, the customers the lobbyists and Joe and Mika to do the thinking for them. Hahahahaha. Inventory buildup and failed past is not success. Coders if you have a brain bypass the GM, Ford or Fiat route. Its not just a job its and adventure.

Agree with yzj. Ford is hiring and is going in the right direction. Not all HPE/DC alumni are coders. Ford and GM are looking for ex EDS people regardless of what some jealous clowns say. HP ruined EDS

Yes. GM and Ford are hiring at a feverish pace. All the legacy EDS bums from Pontiac are all welcome. Please eject out of DXC, save some space and hopefully there is a chance of DXC's survival.

The biggest mistake HP (those times) did was to buy EDS at 10+ billion dollars when it was NOT winning any deals and was very close to being bankrupt.

Smart a-- Rittenmeyer sold EDS to HP and golfing now somewhere around Plano. By the way when are they closing the Plano offices ?

Big three is a Big Problem. There past is an indication of the future. They too had all those employees who got screwed over the years. The one's left are those with the tails between there legs and softies. They are waiting there career out in a cushy job that goes nowhere. Who is buying those overpriced 1/2 ton vehicles?

"Joe and Mika"? Is Trump, I mean his royal cyberbully, posting on this board?

Ugh... at any rate, GM is also hiring technical people, but you better have a degree. Job experience and skill isn't considered unless you have that piece of paper.

Management types can look elsewhere. I'd say good luck, but honestly, management was most of the problem with EDS/HP/HPE/DXC. Frankly, nobody needs them, and smart companies promote engineers to management because they tend to get more done. DXC has to be pretty heavy in management people... I guess I feel bad for their assistants who also have no place to go.

If you are technically skilled, though, brush up on the latest developments in your field, clean up your resumes, and ask for 15-20% more salary than your current level - because that is the market in Southeast Michigan. More than likely, you won't end up at the Big 3, and don't settle if you see the cracks in a company when you visit them. In the end, you'll find a better job with security and satisfaction.

Post ID: @O4bjZXs-yz. You have got to be a ally to the big three. Like DXC and HPE employees you can't see beyond your own local benefit and see a real issue beyond the surface. The big three have major issues and its call TESLA, Amazon, Google and China. Get a clue milk your employment while you can. The dinosaur management in place at the big three lack brains and brawn between the ears.
