So I'm an employee and my debit card was charged for a purchase I didn't make. Watch it!

Years ago, when Sears owned their credit services, people would storm in angrier than a wet hen and bellow that there were unauthorized charges on their accounts and they wanted them removed immediately. Dutifully, I would call credit to resolve the problem, but in practically every case it was a family member, relative or friend who had made the purchase. The customer would declare that the person was not authorized to use their account and demand the charge be removed. The credit department would tell the customer that they would be willing to remove the charge if they would be willing to press charges against the offending party. At that point the customer would go silent for a few awkward moments, then stutter "Oh, never mind."

Based on this persons writing skill i doubt this is factually correct. My guess is they fell for some phishing attempt.

Call your bank and contest it. It will get fixed.

I stopped using the Sears credit card after they got rid of the employee discount.

Do you mean a purchase at Sears or KMart that you didn't make? Had you used your debit card there before? Asking because I only use cash or my Sears card if I shop there.
