Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

BHI no more!

Since this great layoff board was formed there have been some memorable posts, observations and discussion - the company and general industry has clearly benefitted from the wisdom, direction and vision.

Although, all great things come to an end and time to move on... It's been an honour posting with you. Lang may yer doup reek!

Product lines or divisions that have been part of Baker Hughes all along will be in for a rude awaking with GE in control as their usual dominance in decisions is none gone. They will have to get use to there being a new sheriff in town and not getting their way as usual. For the other BHI product lines and divisions purchased along the way, the merger will just be another day they have been thru before. The merger should result in some overlapping management reductions while most of the employee reductions have already taken place with now a lean group with few overlaps for the present work available. Taking out the last day speculative buy increase of 5.82% of BHI stock, the new stock BHGE stock value is running about $17.50 lower than the prior BHI stock value as expected.

It isn't the end ! It is just the beginning ! A chance for BoD to start afresh with a clean slate - and make the same mistakes all over again, and again, and......
