DXC has started firing in India from this Monday (03.07.2017). More number of Lay offs in Chennai and Noida location. This firings seems to be irrespective of performance. Employee's are intimated and ask to leave the company within a day. Employee can either resign on their own or else will be terminated.

thnk you for this... this leader is worst leader I have ever worked with. he brings confusion and focuses on wrong items. you will see, more people will leave bcause this - nobody even his own team do not respect because he does not listen. he lives in us and has comfort job while his team strugggls to survive. he also makes bad decisions that vendors do not believe. he used to be in finance org and should have stay there - knows nothing about hr.
Most toxic place to work. No concern for employees. In India hr Shared Services _ stupid leader Manish Gurnani from head office. Does not listen to employees - makes as though he is for people but then is arranging layoffs in back office. He cannot be trusted ~ colleagues beware. Nobody in company wants to work with him and he simply gets rid of ppl he does not like. More layoffs coming. He does not know how to run business >> don’t join this org until leaders are changed!
"bots" and AI to take over tasks on a longer term basis. What a freaken joke. CSC (DXC and HPE) can't put together a decent step by step project plan let alone program how people debug a problem.
BOTS and AI is a long way off
There are definitely some stellar GETC guys in the indian locations. But essentially the problem is the leadership in India who do not bridge the resources/delivery to the client. Because of the middle/higher management inefficiency the delivery centers are not thriving in success.
DXC you got the right model, but do a cleanup of the middle management and revamp, or better relocate some north american / european managers to the indian locations for training in management skills.
GETC
Which are the teams?
WFR headcount??
There are no benefits in India. As a matter of fact, the HR dept will threaten the employee that a negative feedback/review will be given to any future employer who requests feedback.
Get the severance package and then leave. India law requires that an employee has to resign in the system and the package will include the notice period dues as well.
Colleagues in India: it was just a matter of time before an even lower cost location emerges and your hard earned gains are cut and/or stalled at the current rate. That won't stop, the USA has been living a layoff culture since HP bought EDS, get used to it.
After seeing the DXC Investor Day presentation, you can also see that they are talking about "bots" and AI to take over tasks on a longer term basis. It's clear that this company is set on clearing the path for any and all profits to go to the senior executives.
Don't kid yourself, almost everyone is expendable and the real desperadoes are the lower level managers who have not been named by the corporation.
There are two groups of them, a smaller group who have their work history and and current performance to stand on. And then the majority of our so called leaders who spend their time s---ing up to the decision makers to make sure they stay around at the expense of an employee who actually contributes.
Sad but true, all we can do is deal with it or leave.... no use trying to change anything.
Why resign and not be paid out benefits?
