Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Fireworks

Couldn't really watch the fireworks and feel good when you see all that money going up in flames, knowing how bad the company needs it. I guess if you are having money troubles, you might as well look good while the ship is sinking? I hope the company makes it. Macys used to be a Wonderful place to work. Wonderful people. They made sense. Did reasonable things, common sense actions. Maybe in the climate we face today in America, nobody knows how to navigate to profit. I feel like Macys will save some stores and will be a survivor, but most of us will lose our jobs. We too will survive.

So very true!! Macys used to be a great place to work. I think the down spiral started when their HR became robotic and they introduced a district team of executives. They just don't listen to anyone in store level. Associates are afraid to voice their opinions and are treated so badly now. Hire people that actually want to work there, treat them well and hold on tight to your seasoned associates. Unfortunately the magic of Macys is fading away. Customers can feel that bad energy and are spending their money elsewhere.
