I would like to know why do they close more Kmart Stores, and not Sears Stores. I am a former Sears employee, store closed down in March 2017. Hopefully the employees will get a severance.

Mostly because many Sears stores are owned by SHC or have dirt cheap rent or are being used as collateral for loans. Most Kmarts are leased and as the lease expires or gets near to expiring they will close them.
I think maybe because Kmart is less profitable. I remember when we had our Kmart still it was a ghost town. You see very rare help and didn't seem like it was selling. It seems Sears still sells especially on its appliance area. Either way they are closing Sears as well just not as a fast as Kmarts.
What is "diving" up a store. Kmart has swimsuits, but otherwise nothing for diving.
Many Kmart leases prohibit diving up the store. Sears stores in malls can lease out a floor

I think that ultimately what we'll see is a Chapter 11 bankruptcy in which all the Kmarts get dumped.

Because Kmart does NOT fit in the smaller footprint store concept
