Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Shoes everywhere in the stockroom

Thursday truck at my sears store was crazy full with boots and shoes of all types. Would anyone like to explain why they would be sending an overload of shoes this time of year,we have never gotten this many ever before, absolutely no where to put them.

SHC ended its contract with a 3rd party warehouse for shoes in the beginning of the year. They have probably just gotten things settled and are looking to reduce the total amounts carried in DCs, pushing them to the stores can free up a lot of space, and gives them a slightly better chance to sell

Kmart near me is closing in 30 days. The shoe dept went away over a couple

Of days. It wasn't because of inflated clearance prices.
