I am trying to place an order for pickup at Sears in a Woodfield. No matter what I try the Woodfield store does not appear. Stores 40 miles away appear for pickup. Is Woodfield closing? I last picked up an order at Woodfield a few weeks ago.

Sears does not have enough employees to handle stuff. You are a pain in their behind, go take your business elsewhere.
It's definitely an online issue. I've had this happen, call sywr and ask them they will send it to IT and fix it.
I'm not so sure Woodfield is untouchable, they were looking for a buyer for the auto center for a long time, although that may have changed because they were forced to invest heavily in updating it (heating specifically.)
That said, Woodfield Sears had a large portion of the FLS rented out to Level 257 (Arcade, Bowling and Restaurant) and I'm sure would be willing to rent out more of its unused space.
Here is a great story, About 6 years ago Black Friday morning Fox is doing a news report from their helicopter and they say if you are headed to Woodfield mall park over by Sears there is a tons of open parking and they show the packed parking lot and then no cars over by Sears. Beautiful morning. Drain The Sewer
Woodfield mall in Schaumburg IL? That's so close to corporate, and in a good mall area, that store will literally be one of the last stores to get shut down. As for your pickup issues, I can't say for sure. Maybe they're not stocking the thing. What was it you're ordering?
Sears won't be able to afford the new rent in South Coast Plaza. The owners will toss them out. The mall customers probably walk faster trying to avoid Sears.
I don't know what is so untouchable about the South Coast Plaza Sears store. The owners of the mall (Segerstrom family) confirmed on july 23rd that they had purchased the land and building formerly owned by SHLD for 187 million dollars. All kinds of speculation as to what will happen to the space, as the store is considered a bad fit for such an upscale mall (both stylistically and the clientele it attracts). Also, at over 300,000 square feet, there is alot of sparsely laid out merchandise, as one would expect. Finally, visit the store's website and you will see that the numerous reviews are symptomatic of all the Sears stores; long & slow lines, nobody to help (except in an over staffed appliance dept.), unmanned registers, managers that won't appear to resolve customer issues, and of course adverse reactions to the 30 day return policy. The mall won't tolerate a tenant like Sears for very long. Talk about a turd in a punchbowl.
Corporate will shut off a store's ability to do dot.com orders sometimes. Usually if that store turns too many web orders down.
Anyone saying the "product just isn't there" clearly doesn't know how sears.com & Kmart.com work. If it's not I stock it will say 'not available for pickup', but it will still show the store on the list. OP this is not unusual, I have had the magically disappearing store issue before when trying to order! I've had stores fall off the website only to show up a few weeks later. One possibility is that corporate temporarily turned online orders off for the store. One week in January we had an incredible snow storm that shut stores down and trapped people in their homes. It was so bad one or two associates showed up for the day. The store manager had the DM request online orders be turned off for a week because we had no one to do them and literally were struggling to operate the store.
Woodfield is one of two stores that are untouchable. The other is South Coast Plaza in Southern California. Woodfield is the company store and is used for training and featuring new merchandise and processes. If either one of those closes Sears is done.
It can be that what @fjt said meaning the product is not their, or the counts are wrong. Or possibly as you said store is closing.
I bought all sorts of apparel recently, and I definitely could have picked up some of the stuff at Woodfield.
Tried items in all different depts. Woodfield is not an option for pickup. Other stores are with date 1 week out for pickup.
No. They may not have in stock what you are trying to purchase.
