Hey there are no bonuses or raises for those in Hoffman either....at least not at the regular rank and file level. And I really don't think it's Hoffman folks or many Hoffman folks who are saying go out and get a degree. I think there are some who are just either being sarcastic that post on here to just get people going. And once again, I know it's hard to believe....but there are those of us who work the night before Thanksgiving (until around 10pm) making sure pricing, etc is all correct as well as go to the stores on Thanksgiving as soon as they open in order to make sure everything is going okay, and then once again get up super early on Friday morning to be in the office to make sure everything is going okay. As I have said in a previous post, I am volunteering to help out in my local store, if they want me, over the Thanksgiving weekend when I don't have to physically work in the office so probably either when the store opens on Thanksgiving day or the Saturday after.

"I hope layoffs are done for corporate, stores and the field until 2018.

Let's get through this holiday season the best we can-"

And I mean this respectfully.....but this is what doesn't work anymore for the store level employee. Getting through the holiday season means store level employees giving up their Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, weekends in December, evenings until 10:pm, no time off requests, etc. with little to no compensation.

Getting through the holiday season helps Sears. Then what in 2018....layoffs? hours cut to 3 per week?

After the company uses the employees to get through "THEIR" holiday season and rake up "THEIR" bonuses on the backs of the employees whom they care nothing about, then what?. And how do they take care of the employees who gave up their holiday to work hard for bonuses for the execs when they don't even get holiday pay after midnight on Thanksgiving night. There are no bonuses or raises not even a worthy holiday party. Nothing.

It sounds nice to all pull together, kumbaya and get through the holiday season. What corporate still doesn't get is that you are not treating your employees, who are getting you through the season, well and then you drop them like a hot potato after you get through the season and make your money.

Thanks, but no thanks. I think people are still underestimating the anger of people who are being taken advantage of.

There are smaller layoffs all the time at hoffman - it's only the big ones that we talk about.

With holiday around the corner - I hope layoffs are done for corporate, stores and the field until 2018.

Let's get through this holiday season the best we can- hold your head high- we are all working as hard as we can .

I'm glad this time its Hoffman, supposedly. I believe the folks at Hoffman are the ones that are usually telling other posters to just leave or quit or get a degree or this is what you deserve because you didn't go to college or just s--- it up and ring me up, etc. Maybe when they're out on their keister and see that the job market s---s and company's that are hiring aren't offering much in the way of bennies and for every job there are 100s of applicants beacuase everyone and their mother has a degree today, they may find themselves a bit more compassionate when they humble themselves and find their self on the other end of the cash register asking someone if they would like to supersize their order.

This isn't directed towards everyone at Hoffman some have been quite compassionate but others are quite obnoxious. I believe in Karma and will say welcome aboard when you pass your pee in the cup drug test.

Boy, people are always asking for rumors or intel of any kind and then when someone posts they get sarcastic comments like, "well, obviously," or "troll" or "not true" etc.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up even though it doesn't effect me.
