Our genius management team is cutting on the wrong end. I came to work this morning and was told by my GM that the DM said to cut a certain number of hours off the payroll today and from now on. So I was sent home as soon as I got there. Hadn't had a raise in about 5 years now and you want to send me home and cut my pay while the multi millionaires up top keep getting fatter and fatter. So I decided to take the day and talk to the competition about a job and have a pretty good chance of going to work for them. I'll help their payroll problem and take some business with me when I leave. Advance you can't keep on treating your employees like crap. But we know you will so it's time to make a change.

In my area there are way more retail auto parts companies per square mile then I have ever seen in my life. I am not sure why Advance and O"reallys does this, all it does is dilute the number of sales each time they open another location. Autozone on the other hand seems more concerned about not having more stores per capita, maybe that is why Autozone fairs better with its customers and employees. Just an observation.
You're just a number like the rest of us. They have some fool with zero experience waiting in line to gladly take your job. They know this and are willing to hire said idiot.
