Bridgepoint/Ashford University Layoffs

Unfortunately more employees lost their jobs today. Uncertain of the numbers, but it primarily affected those in Finance, Marketing and Facilities.

I knew someone affected by the layoff and she is now suing. I heard Ashford is horrible with no guidance from leadership!

I was there for one year, working in Corporate Finance, and thought my job was somewhat protected, due to the team I was on. But, that sense of security was false, as I was surprise-RIF'd and out the door in under 30 minutes this past week. Yet to see anything hit the news about the layoffs, though.

I personally was one of the employees let go. I was there a long time and it was very impersonal and highly disappointing in the approach. The company will never achieve their goal of being on the list of great places to work. Most of the non executive senior leadership is ineffective and lacks actual leadership skills. I am excited to find a new opportunity outside of this sinking ship.

BTS was affected too. It appears this was a wide swath of employees from all departments.

The company has too many long term employees who fail to add value. The good ole boy club is ending. If they want to survive they need to hit the Military teams next. Millions wasted in salaries with very little return from most.

Yes! We were hit in academics as well. Also not sure of the numbers, but it seems rather large (with the stock letter HR sent to employees and all)
