Are we looking at another 3-400?

Maybe I am naive, but I truly believe that there will be a point where we will stop closing stores/right sizing Hoffman associates. Remember this is a whole sum game for Eddie...meaning he just has to balance all his investments with us and other places. I think he always envisioned a small base of stores and a much smaller corporate environment. I guess the new headquarters in San Francisco can be flexed up or down as far as space. Unfortunately it is hard to know which stores will stay open and which Hoffman associates will be needed in his new vision of our company.
We all know it will happen the big question is when, i'm applying for jobs everyday and i'm a Sears ASM, would be nice if our store gets the liquidation call soon, i could use the time off to get to know my family again.
2000 is an absurd # - unless that includes a whole bunch of store closing associates as well. Lets not forget that Sears still employs over 100k people at the moment. My guess is that it wont be as many as were let go in May (403)...but could still be significant....not sure what the split is between Hoffman and stores though. But for certain - this IS going ti happen!
You can't believe anything on here anymore their is no truth to this matter !!!! It's a joke anymore ...
@dkw There's NO WAY it'd be 2000. That's over half the number of Hoffman employees. The company would literally have to have their datacenter blow up for that to happen.
stop with the 2000 ... yes I'm sure there will be more, this is a shrinking company. My only thoughts are what is the bottom line, when will the bleeding stop. We all know Eddie is in it for the property so he can sell it, so if your in a leased property beware if your lease is ending soon you will be going next, then if your store is on land in which sears still owns Eddie is trying to sell it, your store will close if the property is sold... Eddie is trying to sell it all, when your land the store sits on is sold your store will close.
2000 is what i hear
Like people have been saying for 60 days, the 375 number is for the WARN report which is dated 8/12 but represents the June layoffs. It's just a legal thing to make it look like those employees were terminated at the time their severance ended. There are people who were in pebble but gone since June who are now removed that the WARN date has passed. But I'm sure most posters here will keep on trolling and hoping for their colleagues to lose employment.
Next Thursday store level also
At store level ????
How odd that would be about the same number as the last time.
Is it just at HE or will it be in the stores too? How much more can they get rid of at HE?
I hope its my turn this ship is sinking anyways, a little paid vacation i do need
Is this post from someone official in hr who knows detail? I have a feeling that it is my turn to be voted off the island
