Hopefully they won't accidently cut wrong manager that capable. There is few managers with massive employee support, if one been wrongly cut, 20-30 top talents will leave together

I just have to write this because it is the truth and should be known by others. DXC is chopping people in many places but at the same time, a lot of key people are leaving DXC instead so good luck with all the escalation and penalties.

Since I left, I have come to know 20 other people have moved on. All these are key technical fellow for DXC, not those mid-management idiots. I am quite happy to say that IT for DXC is still an employees market. Now all those sitting in mid-management is breaking cold sweat on how to stop good people from leaving, the top management dont see it yet.

After this round of chopping, comes another round of hiring but before they find and train the right people, pay their penalties to their clients - they deserved it.

Good riddance. If you are one of those who cannot get a job elsewhere, then it is your problem, not DXC because I know a good 20 people who have moved on with higher position and better pay!

Mike will continue to reduce the workforce until $700m of labor cost savings (from the targeted $1billion) is made by March 2018. Christmas has traditionally been a good DXC time to layoff staff before the client's fiscal start.

What next? Likely a temporary hire/fire staff model and possibly 'zero hour contracts' to cover the peaks of client demand and then any staff who are daft or strong enough to continue to hold on, will be replaced with AI, bionics and cloud automation, just as Lawrie is seen escaping, into the night, with suitcases overflowing with cash.

DXC will become an app on the appstore supported only by a grad in Kuala Lumpa.

Congratualtions, your sacrifices have enabled Mikey's transition towards his retirement more lucrative than he could have possibly imagined.

@OP2waUw-3mjo - in all fairness mate, some of the managers (at least the ones i worked with) couldn't run their own lives leave alone a company. You dont need 5 managers doing the same thing just because the top dog is lazy - maybe doenst apply for 100% of the managers, but surly 98% of them.

Automation to fix firewall or network issuess. Not for a long time! But Network is out sourced all ready to AT&T.

Lets use automation for our EVP's and CEO's

I personally know one Master within that center dodged the axe by begging management. Wait.. I did not know that can be done. Give a shot when it is your time.

If KL could convert itself to something like Phuket (walking street) in Thailand then all the American business would come there. DXC does not need manager, master, expert . they are looking for entertainment and money.. like resorts, casinos, etc.

Yeah, that is exactly how they are looking at it.

Problem is they aren't considering SKILLS REQUIRED TO DELIVER THE OBLIGATED SERVICES as they RIF staff. They are ONLY looking at the pyramid.

They are knowingly screwing long-term clients for short term share price benefit. "House of cards" is a cliche, but it a VERY apt description of DXC as a whole right now. It can't possibly be a viable entity this time two years from now.

DXC believes it has too many mid to high level people on staff, and too few entry to low level people. WFRs will be mainly focused on experienced people, to be replaced with off-shore individuals and college graduate contractors.

In other words, DXC says the pyramid of labor is upside down, and they want to flip it.

Based on my experience, I very much doubt manager, master and expert levels can be replaced by automation in many years. But I have heard KL is no longer so low cost, there are even places within EU which are lower cost locations.

Read the transcripts. Their will be little gems like the post below. They are telling you the who, what, when, where and why of how they will "transform" DXC.

This is not a secret nor ever was. It should be as clear as day what they intend to do. All you have to do is keep you eyes and ears open to the classic warning signs.

Quote from Paul Saleh (CFO) from the investoras Q&A@

"...we're continuing to use automation as an opportunity to just really drive greater efficiencies in our labor force, and that is not just in high cost market, that's also showing up in our LOW-COST markets."
