I went back to re-read one by the pop corn guy and it was no longer there.

The moderators of this site must be falling behind. I visited a topic from five days ago to check on a debate I was having with another poster. The debate was not ugly or heated in nature, however, all of our posts have been deleted. Yet more recent posts which clearly violate the rules for this site and are even vile in nature are still up for all to view.
His posts were removed because he was only here to taunt you guys about store closures. Even the username he used was to taunt those of you who still work for sears. If I had to guess I'd say he was one of those who always posts about bringing popcorn to watch and wait for the bankruptcy.
Yup!!!!!
Guys trust me on this one, I've been on this site daily since 2015... They never remove posts unless you cross the line - you can see where the line is by reading their rules in the footer... In short, if you swear, if you post personal information (names of any kind, addresses, phones), if you post threats of any kind it will be removed. Look at last 100 threads, you will not find a single one that has issues that I described. I noticed that anything that has to do with religion or race gets removed promptly, almost like they have a system that filters that out... Also, once they remove your post, they delete all posts you've ever made and they also block your IP address. Now you can go around this by using VPN etc, but that's super slow and I'd rather leave this forum than go through that pain.
If you keep it civil, you should be fine - no reasonable post has been deleted from here, at least I have never noticed it.
On corporate trolls - yes, we do have them and they are very strategic - yet, I've never seen a good post being removed because of a trolling comment - think about layoffs.com and how they run this - you'd want people to visit, and removing good posts is not helping you in that mission...
Just my two cents...
That does not surprise me since some of responses can be degradingly rude and/or boorishly crude. I can understand why the moderators would remove a thread when it degrades from civil discourse into a cesspool. But there is one thing I have noticed, when the topic is mundane, such as, My Store Is A Mess, the responses are never out of line. However, if the topic is revealing, such as, Mass Layoffs On This Date, there seems to be a flood of ugly responses that cross the line of what is permitted on this site. My theory is that Eddie's corporate trolls intentionally post a deluge of unruly responses to topics that hit too close to home so that the moderators will be forced to remove them.
Yes. Noticed this as well
