I'll start with my rant about pay - here at Ulta, our pay is low for responsibilities expected to fulfill. Period, it's low and they (exec mgmt) knows it - this is by design....
No time is given to recruit or network outside their 4 walls, you must come from a strong leadership background as there is not really a structured leadership outline or program on the retail side of the business.
If you look at DMs and higher, there is an absolute lack of urgency around filling management positions - people are just slow, too relaxed and complacent. Due to this everyone suffers and the company will pay the price...
