All we have to go on is what we are seeing with our own eyes in the Stores. As a Sales Specialist myself, I have seen the subtle changes already... they stopped the weekly Sales Specialist Meetings with the SM back in April. I no longer have any 1 to 1's with my immediate superior - The Assistant Sales Manager. We are being overly burdened with more tasks and deadlines which is conflicting with our abilities to serve the customer. More and more of the experienced staff are leaving and if we are lucky! to be replaced by PT -hopelessly inadequate kids or senior citizens who have no ambition or time to learn. This job is merely a stop gap for them and they are thrown onto the floor with their red vests almost like World War 1 when the soldiers climbed out of their trenches, to be cut down by the first customer to ask them anything that had even the remotest technicality about it! After that first experience they then hide from customers, happy to take an age trying to put up the overflowing freight scattered allover the stores, whilst those of us left with the knowledge and experience struggle to cope with the ever growing, increasingly p*ssed off customers, along with our other long lists of tasks and phones that ring endlessly!
It disgusts me to see good people who've invested so many years at Lowes to be treated like RoadKill by the greedy Corporate bosses of Lowe's! Good people are being let down time and again, folks are struggling to make ends meet with best part of our paychecks going to ridiculously priced Healthcare and like me I'm sure that little subsidy we do get is all that is holding us down and thinking about our Families back home, depending on us to protect them from uncertainty in this messed up world.
We have to fight back and end this disgusting manipulation of us...I am mentally and physically beat after every shift at Lowe's, it is not a healthy environment to work in!
And to those who say "leave" and find a job elsewhere...Why should I or anybody else give up and waste all the years we 've invested in this Company with our loyalty, skills and knowledge?
There are those of us who live in areas where jobs aren't easy to come by and relocation is out of the question.
This is not evolving, this is manipulation and oppression. I can see somebody snap and causing devastation under these current conditions and the finger of blame will rest solely on the Corporate Bosses!
Excellently put, @Olll06Y-igq. I don't want to leave, I used to love working here. But used is the crucial word, what is happening now is unconscionable. I don't just want to throw in a towel, but I am not sure what we can do?
