Several people were laid off a couple of months ago who have worked here for a long time, and new people were hired to replace them - people who had no idea how to do their job, and are not getting any better! I don't think they are even trying. Now everybody's job is much harder, good people are out of work, but hey, Walmart saved some money on cheaper employees! This really should not be legal.

That's so true this company needs the Union to protect its workers. Do you think they could get away with this if we were Union no.......they would let go of last hired instead of first hired. Wake up they hitting the most paid and older Americans.
sadly it's done quite a lot. look on the wire for the "international relocation handbook" there you should understand what's happening. put on there this past march about the time the site for severance pkg went up.
Unless you're willing to unionize, nothing you can do about it. It'll happen to you one day soon.
This is why politics matter. If you don't think stuff like this should be legal we have to have lawmakers who will change the laws. Otherwise when you get old or expensive you'll be out of a job trying to flip burgers somewhere.
