Should I be worried that my store hasn't seen anything for Christmas yet? No trees, no decor, no winter stuff. Shouldn't we have it by now?

We haven't received too much back to school which concerns me more.

Halloween usually sets up the first week of September and Christmas about 2 weeks later. The merchandise comes in about 2 weeks before the setups. If you are at a Kmart, ask your manager if you have received the Christmas setup book yet. It comes early. What does come in about this time is toys. If you haven't received several pallets by now, go into Operations Workbench and look at the reset calendar. Usually the ENTIRE department is reset, every layout. All of this could change tho, given the financial state of this company. There is likely to be another massive round of closings announced in September. They do it every year, and they got us last year.
