Everyone is aware of this site from corporate to DM to AP to SM to ASM and store level employees. We are somewhat aware of the situation at hand. Only person that know the true motive is Eddie himself. We can speculate , make our judgment and predictions like everyone else. I come here because it's help me with somethings that going on and management won't or can't explain. The only question is when not if. It's stressful waking up and going to work and wondering if today could be your last. We all know the company is in a bad position. The problem comes in when top level management play this game and try to spin every negative into a positive. Understandably that's their job, but we as adults and employees deserve more respect and to not have our intelligence insulted. Some have been with the company 20 plus years and it may be a little difficult for them to transition to something else. Some of us are actively seeking better employment opportunities. Some just want to ride the ship on out. Each person has their own reasons for why they do things. It's not your right to tell me what I can and can't do on my off time and personal life. This site and many others are well informative about this company. I'm not a genius or stockbroker or hedge fund manager. I'm just the average person trying to do the right thing and make a decent living. From information gathered Eddie wasn't in it for the retail, but the real estate. It was supposed to be his golden ticket to greener pastures. But the economy and other factors didn't work in his favor. So now it's a sell off to recoup as much as possible and when the time is right call it quits. In the end we don't live in a fantasy land and understand the situation just be as honest as possible. We have lives. We have families. We have responsibilities.

Oooh, let the name calling begin. We are not stupid but it's clear to more than one person that your post is completely worthless. Not sure what kind of "respect" you want at this point.
Everyone is just telling you to stop wasting your breath.
All 3 of the last post completely missed what I said. What part of actively seeking better employment opportunities are y'all not seeing ? Or are y'all really that stupid?
If you know what you know about Sears, it is totally irresponsible for you to "ride" this out, especially if you have a family!
Take action now- look for another job ASAP.
You will not dread going to work so much if you are actively seeking employment elsewhere. Good luck.

And your responsibility, knowing the facts presented about this company, is to find another job a.s.a.p. before the next economic downturn which is inevitable
