Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

All about #'s!!!

"You won't realize how miserable and disgusting you feel until you walk away."

Just copied this from a recent post! So well said! HAH is all about #'s, it's making sure your team is ahead of the others, it's the numerous and daily whys from the coaches.... it's the constant pressure. "Why didn't you call this many mbrs? " well... it might be because my Members decided to be fed up by our numerous calls and have learned to not pick up! This job is a lot of luck! Some days nobody wants to answer the phone and when/if they answer they don't want to talk for a long time therefore your numbers will be bad anyway.

Caring for the Members, spending time with them, offering assitance and actually listening and being empathetic is a thing of the past! Members realize you are calling just to do check marks but you really do not have the time to listen and listen more because you have to jump on the next call otherwise your hand will get slapped at the end of the day.

Looking for another job! This is not Case Management and Humana does not care about us the employees! It's a rat race.

2 weeks for every year AND my PTO. Correct. Sorry I wasn't clear in my original response.

Yes, I received 2 weeks for every year.

To the poster talking about giving bad information, I hope you weren't referring to my post. As stated earlier, I was laid off in the first round and that was my experience. As I also stated, unless things have changed, PTO is paid out with the severance check. I had other friends that were also laid off in both rounds and they experienced the same thing.

I hope that all of you who are currently employed with Humana are doing well. There is light at the end of the tunnel, whether you stay or go. Continue to do your best and hope for a bright future wherever you land.

Yes, but the information on severance is conflicting in the policy. The policy appears as though it's an either or with PTO and severance, not both together. So get off your high horse about just reading the policy. Those already impacted know more than we do.

Good Lord people, stop with the bad information already! Unfortunately some people on here are hanging on your every word and you are giving incomplete and/or bad information. All anyone has to do is read the policy regarding severance, it will tell you everything. The only thing that may be different for different roles is whether or not you will be required to work through your entire " notification period". That decision is based on business need and open to leadership discretion.

So you received your 2 weeks for every year of service plus your accrued PTO?

I was laid off first round. I continued to accrue PTO for 3 months and received it in my severance check. Unless things have changed, you will get your PTO.

Last poster, did they make you take your PTO? I know a lot of people have asked about PTO when laid off and if they pay that out along with severance.

Lol, poor client. I am so glad I got laid off. 3 months free vacation because layoffs all go the same.u get email...mass layoff..coach listening but swears they dont know who gets let go even though they fill out a survey..coach wants to speak to layoffs on team individually and asks in pm if we got a few minutes to talk..u take rest of day off...told to give a few days pto to have 3 months off and 1 or more months of severence pay. U call for help with unsurance concerns and no one has answers.

It was a blessing and I am at peace.

Right. Members do realize. That hit home last week when we were told we needed to get our HEDIS surveys up ASAP because other teams are ahead of us.

Upon completion of survey, member said to me "you can check me off of your list now." Uggh, sorry member, I feel like a jerk. :(
