I tried to buy an inexpensive AMD laptop but I really couldnt

I've been waiting for a $500 is decent laptop for my kid with AMD inside. Couldn't find anything decent at this price. Ended up settling for a core I-5 7th gen

Actually, I need the usb drivers for a lot of robotics kits my kid uses so it has to be a Mac or PC.

Really a ryzen 3 laptop? Hmm... Well maybe I'll return the laptop to costco than. 90 day return policy. Lol...

I don't think Ryzen APUs for laptops are coming until late second half of this year.

Maybe what I'll do is buy an Intel laptop from Costco, keep it for 90days...return it...buy another one, keep it for 90days...return it....until a ryzen based laptop is available...

OK, so for that 500 bucks you have now the CPU. What about the rest of the laptop?

OP you should have waited for the back to school. Actually AMD are launching Ryzen 3 this Thursday same day Intel reports bad results.
