This place use to be great place to work. Now it stinks.
With new CTO he has his vision to scale in NY & it has already started to fall apart.
2 key resources have left the tiny NY team, and CTO came in person to ask them to stay back with the firm, and they still did not like it.
CTO's leadership skills are zero - he compared a 11 member NY office performance with 3000+ member Baltimore office. This has not gone well with many Baltimore managers, leaders, and resources. As per CTO NY is 10% more productive than Baltimore.
There are talks now of making the development organization horizontal with just three inner groups, and all current teams will be brought together by their technology under three groups.
Any excess in Technology skilled resources under each group will be let go.
Some dirty tricks now started to play and its played by Team leads.
They have started to communicate it to resources in their meetings so that resources might leave by themselves.
Also support organization is expected a restructure soon, but its not announced yet.
Because they want support team to handle issues while developers leave the organization by themselves out of dissatisfaction or let go by the firm.
The firm is filled with great resources and knowledge on both domain level and technology. But this is clearly a disaster for the firm.
