Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Plenti?

At the register we are now being forced to ask customers their phone number and email addresses at the end of each transaction for Plenti accounts. Is Macy’s going to ditch the Plenti Rewards program soon in favor of the new platinum, silver Macy’s cards?

Last few weeks, on registers, was an alert regarding Plenti. Macy's is ending association with the program around March 4th. All you have to do is F6 at end of transaction to skip over giving customer phone # and email address. Apparently Plenti will be kaput in the spring. I guess its purpose of tracking customers buying habits simply didn't pay off for businesses.

Plenti is dead in the water. Too many have pulled out. AmEx won’t have anyone left and I’m betting the whole thing will be gone by end of year. When Exxon and Rite Aid get out too, especially.

Plenti is going away, but the cat was let out of the bag prematurely by upper level executives. We shared this news in an indirect way and then they backpedaled. We have been correcting everyone, but it is not going to last. Don’t know the end date though.

No official answer but was told yes plenti is not working for Macy's. ATT walked away from plenti for the same reason.
