My take, as a PHC, if we are now doing all the surveys and questions in them that are assigned to nurses, and now doing care plans as the nurses do... we are all gone in the end. They are just getting all the documentation inline so none is missing when they all get shifted over.

HCM RN here and care plans are time consuming . They will never make documentation go quicker. They are lying!

Yes, PHC’s have those surveys. Some just feel out of scope - like the diabetic ulcer or the ‘nurse only’ post discharge questions - for those of us with no medical background, but yes, we are told to complete them.

There are presently no plans to reduce our 10 a day requirement once care plans are required.

Thank you, RN, for your perspective!

They told us things would go quicker for us with care plans, more efficiently, but they have told us a lot of things this year that didn’t sync with reality.

HCM RN here in response to the poster's questions about care plans. I am not sure if it will be possible to get 10 successful calls in per day with care plans. Care plan documentation is very time consuming. We also have to do the Comprehensive surveys, HEDIS , Diabetic Foot Ulcer, ER Predictive model surveys along with the MDATs when due. Besides the MDATs, are the PHCs required to do those other surveys? We are still on the learning curve with 2.0. We have a meeting today at 4pm.

Woah. He told your coach and com you are safe? A couple of weeks ago? Based on what was said today, that’s just putting everyone on a roller coaster.

Today's meeting was just a regular Town Hall for Live Healthy PHCs.

It was refreshing to hear that JR did not make promises about no layoffs for PHC's, but that is the opposite of what he said to my coach and COM a couple of weeks ago that made them believe--and tell us--that we were safe. Sounds like he learned his lesson about making public statements regarding no layoffs when he has no control over the situation. I am upset that there's no concession about lowering expectations of 10 contacts per day. I'm working my a** off from start to end of my day and I can't get more than 9 with this new system. I'm also annoyed that JR thinks he has the right to tell us not to comment on social media sites like this one. Who do you think you are, man?!

Do you think it was better to be included or excluded from the meeting today?

Did they give any indication of when layoffs would occur?

I’m glad they were honest in not promising no layoffs. I can handle the truth and don’t need false reassurances, so I was glad they didn’t BS us.

Nurses - are care plans time consuming or are they pretty manageable? Phc’s will start care plans, with no plans to reduce the 10 contact a day requirement.

I am not a PHC. Can you share what the overall theme of the meeting was and/or what updates were shared? We have had no updates yet other than the WF email that just went out.
