I have been being a US Bank employee for almost 4 years now. I have not heard anything about this at all. There is internal communication that is updated daily, and anything like this would have certainly been mentioned in there.
I have not heard word one, in fact we are currently hiring where I am, and a new large facility is opening in Colorado. We are on a hiring spree, not layoffs. I don't know what the heck these people are thinking.

All those loyal US Bank employees can thank the new US Bank president of mortgage Tom Wind, for giving them the hatchet (RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, NO LESS). This is the same person who made a HUGE mess of Citi Bank.
US Bank will never be the same.
They just cut about 250 people from the Investment Broker Mortgage team on Wednesday Dec 6th from 3 locations. Now they are hiring all these Universal Banker NMLS for lower pay. Most of the team let go had 20-30 years of service. Super sad day.
