Is it just me or is Qualcomm a great big train wreck? How will Qualcomm manage a bigger business with the NXP acquisition when we can't manage what we already have. What a tragic mess.

The intention of Qualcomm is to gradually shut down production in the FAB within 3 to 4 years after they change the sign out in front. Oak Hill will become an administrative site. Ed Bluestein production would continue, perhaps even expand. The reason for this is as follows: Qualcomm purchased NXP because they wanted its patents, its technology and its customers - not because they wanted an old, out of date FAB that is fast approaching 30 years of age and is costing more and more to maintain and operate every year. This would not be the first time serious consideration has been given to shutting down Oak Hill. Motorola almost did back in the early 2000s. If you didn't take the severance last year then you had better prepare to loose your job. This is no longer rumor, this is fact.
KK can't manage to wipe his backside right. The guy smells bad, ugly too.
Don't worry. KK will manage SoC, MC will take care of products and test. NXP will be a piece of cake.
